Economic Development Council Summer Internship Application
The EDC Summer Internship Program is a 6-week paid summer internship designed to provide St. Lucie Public Schools (SLPS) high school juniors and seniors with hands-on experience in various industries. This program helps students develop professional skills, explore career pathways, and build connections with leading businesses across the Treasure Coast.

Program Dates: June 9 – July 25, 2025 
Duration: 1 week of pre-employment training followed by 6 weeks of hands-on work experience (7 weeks total)
Stipend: $15/hr (paid on a weekly basis)

Industry Sectors & Available Positions

Interns will be placed in high-demand sectors, gaining real-world experience and exposure to multiple career paths. Each sector is aligned with Career & Technical Education (CTE) Programs offered to students.

 

Eligibility:
   •    Open to SLPS High School Juniors and Seniors.
   •    Must have reliable transportation. 
   •    Must be willing to work at the assigned location & schedule. 

   •    Must be willing to join Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Lucie County.
